People say “Luck has not favored “, but I would say “Your dream comes true if you make efforts”
Mr. Toastmaster, fellow toastmasters & Wonderful Guests.
Bihar, it is one of the oldest states of India known for poverty, politics and corruption. But let me remind you about the greatness of Bihar. It gave great ruler Ashoka, best University Nalanda, first president to India and first republic to world.
It was one of coldest day, a child born in small village of Bihar where there was no electricity, no roads, no internet and no phones but he had lot of dreams in his eyes. Now that child is standing in front of you and believes that “efforts make dream true”
I had a happy childhood with my elder sister and brother. No video games or PSP rather we enjoyed playing in fields. My grandparents were farmers so we use to go in fields and help them.
There was no school in my village. At the age of six I joined a school nearby my village. It was far from my home, I had to walk six KM daily.
After five years, we moved to a small town, where my father was in government service. I was very happy to join a new school and made lot of new friends.
During Schooling not much complain from teachers, except for no participation in any of cultural activities. I was reserved and bit shy in nature, so always kept me way from public functions.
After 10th class my parents sent me to Patna, capital of Bihar for further studies. There I joined a Pre-University college in science stream. In my college there were no regular classes. First time I got acquainted with real life politics. How People make a group, boycott classes and go for strikes.
It is hard to believe that without attending any classes I had appeared for 12th examination. It was a real challenge for me to face the examination with a complete self-preparation. Only because of my 100% efforts, I could score first division.
I applied for various colleges for taking admission in graduation. Some time our plan does not work as per our wish. Due to my illness I was not able to appear any of the entrance exams. Finally I lost one academic year but did not lose my dream to go for higher studies.
For you, Agra is known for TajMahal but for me it was turning point of my life. I got selected by DEI Agra for science gradation. Without wasting a moment, I joined the college. I was little upset to far away from my home and parents but I was happy to know that my efforts have made me “What I want to be”. After graduation, I completed my post graduation in computer (MCA) from Jabalpur University.
After completion of my post graduation, I have started my career with Tata Consultancy Services as a trainee. Later I moved to Thyron India as a Software Engineer. Both these places I could able got enormous information about tools and techniques of Software Development.
In 2000, I got married to a sweet and smart girl Pushpa. We have a good mutual understanding so our life is cool and comfort. We have one nine year old son Sachin and one four year old daughter.
In 2001, I joined with Saud Bahwan Group in Computer Service department. I’ am with SBG for the past 1 decade with lots of friends and well-wishers.
I would say Muscat is one of the best and cleanest cities in the world where you can live with your family.
I can say that problem solving is my strength and my weakness is my emotion.
I hope to overcome my weakness and concentrate on my strength in future.
My hobbies are to explore new places, farming and gardening.
I have a thought “If you can dream it, you can do it”
I followed and achieved Will you ?
Thank you. Over to you Toastmaster.
